Orthoceras Fossil Copper Necklace
This necklace is made with an Orthoceras Fossil plate and wire wrapped in Copper Wire. We oxidize the Copper to give it that antique patina and coat it in Renaissance Wax to prevent further oxidization.
Orthoceras was a type of Cephalopod who lived during the Ordovician period, when the planet was mostly covered in water. It’s shells were fossilized in plates of the ocean floor at the time. Fossils are used by many in Ancestral work, and to learn to appreciate where we’ve come from, so we can better appreciate our place in history and respect where we’re going.
